The United Nations Integrated Geospatial Information Framework (IGIF) provides a guide for the development of a spatial data infrastructure (SDI) demonstrating the potential socio-economic value that geospatial information and systems investment can deliver. However, to make these developments happen, and make them sustainable over the longer-term financial investment needs to secured. In this course we will look at choosing appropriate funding approaches to support the institutional structures for National authorities responsible for strengthening Spatial Data Infrastructure (SDI).
